I do agree that using these more deceptive ways to influence people can back fire if you apply them towards intelligent, educated, or 'street-smart' folks. The risks far out weight the potential rewards and only the horribly stupid would be gullible enough to buy it. I'd think that the only real way you could get away with it is if you've been very slight in your buzzwordiness application through previous correspondence with a group and through time was able to determine their receptiveness to it. Dropping the BBombs is a nice way to not only say "Hey I think you're a drooling idiot" but also "Hey..I'm not prepared; I can't communicate effectively and I have no clue what I'm talking about". Risking showing blatant disrespect and making myself look like an ass all in one shot is to high a risk for this guy. I have a hard enough time not looking like an ass as it is.
