Many developers are emotional people, they just express their emotion in their "passion" about their code. I think many could remember the lessons of humility: there will always, always be someone smarter than yourself. Those who do not want to submit themselves to reviews can't face the truth. Without commentary from others mixed with humility, you have no chance of learning, and this extends beyond code. Ego is the mind killer.
